Anchor Christian Academy (A.C.A.) is a private Christian school under the ministry of the Anchor Baptist Church of Salt Lake City, Utah and under contract with Accelerated Christian Education (A.C.E.).  Since its founding in 1974, A.C.A. has the A.C.E. individualized learning program.

A.C.A. offers education for students in grades kindergarten (K4&5) through twelve.  Four different diplomas are offered at A.C.A. with each one representing the graduate’s degree of skill and education.  The basic diploma indicates the mastery of basic curriculum, while the other diplomas indicate increasingly higher levels of skill and expertise.  When a student graduates from Anchor, it is not because they have simply been passed from grade to grade.  Rather, the student has moved from success to success showing a mastery of the material presented in their courses.

A.C.A. has an outstanding staff of qualified, dedicated, and compassionate teachers.  Each one considers their position as a ministry based upon a calling from God in their lives.

A.C.A. offers an outstanding education at a reasonable rate.  At only $250.00 per month, per student, A.C.A. may be the best value in the valley.

Anchor Christian Academy accepts children of varied faiths and backgrounds.  All students must agree to uphold the standards and regulations of the school.

Academy interviews can be made through the church office by calling 801-272-9405, or fill out our contact form here.

The purpose of Anchor Christian Academy is to prepare a student so that he may graduate with a high academic record, and especially, be able to make a significant spiritual contribution to the world through a daily life which will glorify the Lord Jesus Christ.

Specific purposes include providing the students with the ability to read, mastery of math, and capability of expressing himself orally or in written form. He will be provided a moral sense of right and wrong. He will be encouraged to have respect for his parents and other authority. He will receive an emphasis in American patriotism. He will be challenged with a high regard for the church and the local pastor.

I look back upon my education at Anchor Christian Academy very fondly.  I always felt driven and satisfied.  I understand that in other settings, sometimes one might "fly" through the ACE program since there is nothing else going on.  This wasn't the case at Anchor.  Whether we were putting together the year-book or attending a "creative-writing" class, I remember a nice variety of activities that helped me proceed at the suggested pace while feeling intellectually stimulated.  My teachers were always professional and attentive.

Another blessing is that there was never any disconnect between the church and the school.  They operated together seamlessly.  This was evidenced in many ways.  One of these was that the school let out a little early on Wednesday so we could have more time to be ready for the mid-week prayer service.

I believe Anchor Christian Academy more than adequately prepared me intellectually, socially, and spiritually to take the next steps in life.  For me that was Bible college.  I praise God that there was a Christian school in Utah for me to attend.  I also praise Him for those He provided there to teach me.  They were patient as they poured their lives into me.
Go Eagles!
